My GGG Grandfather, Samuel T. Hilburn, was born in 1820 in NC and I have been hunting his parents for ages. When I saw your posting of Frederick Hilburn's will I quickly looked up your Frederick on the census records. Sadly my Samuel cannot be the son of your Frederick as Frederick was born in 1825. I am wondering if you know the siblings of your Frederick and could there be another Samuel lurking in your files that was born in 1820?
My Samuel was living in Copiah Co MS and married there in 1839. By 1850 he was living in Jackson Parish, Louisiana with his wife and children. Interestingly, there are land transactions between Samuel and another Frederick Hilburn in Copiah County, MS.
