hi randy. i appreciate the information in your message. thank you. james e. heath (father of noah) was the brother of my great-grandfather, charles w. heath. my grandfather, verbal heath was a first cousin of noah, lewey, dewey and the sisters. i have ordered the microfilm on eliza settles (married to charles w. heath) a few days ago from the mormon library. i am hoping that this will contain some research done on the heaths as well. my husband rene and i attend the mormon church in ellicott city, maryland and there is a genealogy library at that chapel. it will take a few weeks for the film to be sent from the mormon's salt lake city headquarters to the chapel library in ellicott city. i'll certainly let you know if it shows anything on william or his forefathers. sorry to hear about uncle dewey passing away. he was such a cordial, happy man when we met him in lower dogwood ridge in 1982. he took us to the 1-room school house there, and showed us the church where charles had been a part/time preacher. he showed us the farms. he showed us the house where verbal had lived. he was a wonderful, enthusiastic 'tour guide' and a very nice person. thank you again. diane heath
