I am looking for any information on my Great Grandfather. He was born in Montgomery County, Illinois. Had one brother named HENRY. Their father was killed in Union Army battle of Champion Hill. Mom died when Tom was 8, Henry 11. He was a US Marshall in Dodge City according to his biography at the same time Jim Masterson. He changed his last name in 1881 (I think) near the time of the Coffeyville Bank Robery by the Dalton Gang. He was also friends with Bat Masterson, Wyatt Earp, Luke Short and Chalk Beason.
