I am trying to find any information on Dempsey Hazelip. I know that he was born in Virginia 1830. He married Elizabeth F. Roberson March 8, 1854 in Osage County Missouri and that they had 3 daughters, Martha Emiline Hazelip was the youngest. Dempsey was a private in the 24th missouri Volunteer Army company D. He died in St. Louis Missouri at Jefferson Barracks and in buried in the national cemetary. I do not know who his parents were or anything else about him. So if anyone has any information on Dempsey Hazelip I would love to hear from you. His name has been so butchered it isn't funny, they have him as Dumpsey Hazelip at Jefferson Barracks. I have copies of his muster rolls and the casulty sheet and the inventory of effects of deceased soldiers.
