I lived down the block from a David Hatfield that was married to a woman whose name I cannot recall! They raised her nieces, as I recall, Paula and Dorothy Collins, and I was friends with the girls. Mrs. Hatfield was called "Mom" and Mr. Hatfield was known as "Uncle David". I used to attend the Troy Nazarene Church with them for years. As I recall, Paula and Dorothy returned to Ohio as they reached the turbulent teen years and Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield got on in years. Soon after that, I believe Mr. Hatfield either died or they moved away, possibly to Northern Michigan, as it seems David was a hunter. It has to be more than 30 years since I've seen any of them, so I don't know how helpful this would be to you. I can tell you that it has been at least that long since Mr. Hatfield's house was sold.
