From the SS records I recieved on him his parents were Joseph Herriman and Mary Harriett Webb. I have found them living in Bloomer AR where Charles was born (1899). I have found Joesph father there as well. His name was Stephen Herriman. I do not know where Stephen was from or who he married.
We do not know why the last name was changed form Herriman to Harriman but it looks like Joesph changed the spelling when Charles was born or Charles had it changes when he got older.
Any help out there? We be glad to exchange other family info if we connect.
