The following may be somewhat of a match on your Whitcomb end. A John WHITCOMB, born in Hardwick, Mass., Sept 17, 1761, married Lydia Hayden PARMENTER of Stockbridge, VT on Sept 2, 1788. Seven children. They moved to Hamilton Co. Ohio, near the city of Cincinnati, in 1806. John died in 1822 in Chillicothe, Ross County, Ohio (possibly visiting). His son Simon lived there before going to Clinton, Indiana. Simon was born in 1810 in Hamilton Co., Ohio, near Cincinnati. One of John and Lydia sons, James born 1795 VT, became the 1st Whitcomb governor of Indiana. He's one of the statues in the circle in downtown Indianapolis. Whitcomb family history, see (long URL)
http://contentdm.lib.byu.edu/cdm4/document.php?CISOROOT=/FH1... published in 1904. I'm tracking the Whitcomb line in Ohio and have a lot of loose ends. I descend from a daughter, not sure which yet but I believe it is Lydia, the daughter. dstfelix *at* zoomtown.com
