Larry, sorry I can't help you however there may be some connection. My GGGGrandfather William J. Ham moved from
Edgefield county SC to Crawford County GA around 1815. He supposedly was from Ireland (Scot-Irish) and was born 1747. I Understand there are quite a few Hams In or near Crawford County GA. I Think there is a Ham reunion there each summer.
