Hello and thank you for posting a message to me. It's very exiting and there is a lot to tell.I will tell you what I know from my Father's relatives and in particular Gloria who lives in Canada and is the granddaughter of Beatrice's sister Mary Ann Gloria has photos and birth certificates and stories. Beatrice Broome was my paternal Gran's sister. All I knew at first was she left England around 1915 to emigrate to Canada with a wealthy family and work as a nanny. Later she married a Ralph Grimmon or Grimmont and they had a son Stirling named after a Scottish castle. In the 2nd world war years she sent magazines to my Gran's family and visited her half sister Rose in Manchester. She and her husband had a house in Scotland which they allowed Canadian soldiers to use as a hospital. After that no one here seems to know much except that Stirling did visit but I am not sure when.
So if we are talking about the same Beatrice she was born 7/2/1895 in Normanton Nottinghamshire England. Mother Rose Anna Sherratt Father William Broome.Sisters Mary Annie b 1890 Barnsley, Yorkshire, Gertrude b 1894 Durham (given up for adoption)and Elizabeth Ann b 1897 Wakefield (my Gran). Also half sisters Rose Hannah b 1910 Rotherham, Lily b 1901 Stockport and Winefred b 1899 Hemsworth and step brother John Willy Rolands b 1887 and step sister Elizabeth Rolands b 1881. Her Mother (my great Gran)is a bit of a mystery.Sometimes called herself Mary had three men in her life but some of the certificates make it hard to work it all out. Anyway if you want to contact me my e-mail is
