I have mildly been following this post's thread & am now wondering if it might be connected to my husband, Gary Goodman's, line.
He has 2 uncles that were born in Denver Colorado, his dad was born in Oklahoma & another uncle born in Kansas. The family is suppose to be from Germany, but can't seem to get past Great grandfather from Indiana.
Names are;
Uncle Ralph W Goodman b.1928 Denver
Uncle Lewis William Goodman Jr. b. 1926 Denver
Dad-Billy Lloyd Goodman b. 1931 Oklahoma
Uncle Donald Lee Goodman b. 1939 Kansas. Never married
Great Grandfather William Jeremiah Goodman was born in Indiana. 2 different records say Fort Wayne & Wayneville so I don't know which is right. No clue who his parents are... but 1 of William's sons was named Raus Leon Goodman Sr. (the german spelling of the name Ross)
