From what I have been able to figure out by looking at a pamphlet that my mother got from a James Glacking, Yes I would be linked to Martha and William Andrew Glackin. A son named Wiliam Edward married a Frances Allphin and had a son named John William Glackin. He marrried Fanny Lucas and had Rudolph and Nellie Glackin as children.
Hope to hear from you,

I could be, I do not know the name. I have a ancestry.com tree that I have set up that may be easier than writing you this way. I have a pamphlet that a James Glacking wrote that is a lot of what I have. Except for death certificates and a little census. Most of my stuff as I said is mainly what others have done and I incorporated into what I have.

What do you know about William Glackin's brother John? I have a g-g-g-grandfather John Glackin born 1760 in Mount Charlestown County Donegal. Charles came to the US at the time of the Revolutionary War. He disappeared from the US records for a few years and showed again about 1800. He settled in southern Lancaster Co. PA. His other known brothers were Hugh, Daniel and Edward. Do you think there could be any connection to your William?

Hi, We have a William Glackin in my husbands line. He was born in MountCharles, Donegal County, Ireland abt. 1760 he had an elder brother named John Glackin who had gone to the North America colonies circa 1776. He found those colonies in a state of rebellion that he had returned to Ireland and had given a glowing account of his adventrues in the New World. I hardly have anything on him what I do have is on William on up to now. We have been trying to find out more on the Ireland side and more on William's family. Still working though. Please e-mail me at terry.hopkins2@verizon.net. Debra and Terry Hopkins

Jeff,
Thanks for writing. In just the past few weeks I have gotten more information on Martha, including an obit. (Thanks to a kind volunteer)
Martha had six sons: William, Raymond, Frank, Harry, Stanley, and Floyd. She had a daughter named Ethel who married a Gaskins.
Another person who shows up is Daisy Dennis who was married to Hugh.
Who do have as the parent of your William Edward and Martha?
