Barbara Jane Gill, the mother of Bea and Ada Gill was married to a Neal. That was not her maiden name. I was told this by Mary Gill Hodge the sister of Bea and Ada that Thomas Wixson Gill was coming though AR from Oregon when he met the "widow" Neal.

We believe that she was related in some way to John B. and Arletha (?) Mills Neal who were in Poinsett County, AR in 1900. We haven't been able to make the connection as of yet.
