I was reading old messages on the board and found the name James Monroe Gilbert in yours. My gr grandfather was Monroe Archie Gilbert who lived in Independence County, AR and died there in 1909. He ran a grocery store there and was married at least three times. The last time to my gr grandmother, Mahala (Presley)(England) Gilbert. My grandma was one of their children. The father of Monroe was Allen Gilbert who is buried at Cave City, Ark. Allen and Sarah Gilbert had several children. Allen was also married before Sarah so some of the children may have been by his first wife. They originated from GA I am most certain.
