I am searching for info on the Gilbert family too. My gr grandfather was Monroe Gilbert. He had a son Marion Gilbert; Alonzo "Harrison" Gilbert; daughters Hattie Gilbert and Ethel Gilbert. Monroe's father was Allen Gilbert and they came from GA but traveled to Ark. where they lived and died. Any connection here? Please let me know. Thanks so much.
