I am researching the Gilbert family in Ark. also. My gr grandfather was Monroe Gilbert and he had sons:
Marion Gilbert who lived in CA and in St. Louis, MO
Another son was: Alonzo (Harrison) Gilbert who lived in Chicago during the early 1950's. I would love to connect to some of the children of Alonzo/Harrison Gilbert.
Their sister was Hattie Gilbert who was my grandmother.

They were all born in Ark. (Independence County I think) and were raised there. Monroe Gilbert was the son of Allen Gilbert and Sarah (Mead) Gilbert who lived in Ark. also.

Any help on the Gilberts of ark. would be appreciated.
