Susan: Unfortunately, you don't mention any time frame for the ancestors you are searching. I have done some NYC research on Geigers late 1840s to early 1850s. I don't have a Martin however. Johann Georg Geiger, a shoemaker from Germany lived on Albany Street and then Pearl Street. He was married to Wilhelmina [--?--] Geiger. Both were from Wuerttemberg. They are likely related to other Geigers found in NYC directories in the same area: Francis a shoemaker on William Street, John F. Geiger, another shoemaker. My Johann Georg Geiger moved to Baltimore.
