Edward R. Geach
Edward R. Geach, 82, Green Bay, passed away on Saturday, December 18,
1999 after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease. Edward was born on August
16, 1917 to John and Florence Geach in Hurley, Wis. and lived in Green Bay
area since 1961. Edward graduated from Hurley High School. He married the
former Elizabeth (Betty) Bauer in 1939. He worked in an Iron Ore Mine (Cary)
for 5 years. He started his insurance career with Prudential Insurance on
February 1, 1949 and was promoted to Sales Manager at Escanaba in 1954;
promoted to Training Manager in 1957; promoted to Regional Manager in 1957;
promoted to District Manager in Beloit 1958, and transferred to Green Bay in
1961 and worked there until retirement on January 15, 1982. He served as
President of Green Bay Lions Club; President of General Agents/Managers
Association. He was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Allouez.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth (Betty); three daughters, Jacklyn (Jackie)
and Joe McCormack, Grafton, Wis., Barbara (Bobbie) Geach, Apex. N.C.,
Diane (Donnie) and Gary Gotzion, De Forest, Wis.; six grandchildren, Joseph
McCormack, Madison, Wis., Lisa Bettner, Chapel Hill, N.C., Toni and Craig
Norwich, De Forest, Wis., Susie and Jim Ruzecki Morris, Ill., Tim and Kim
Gotzion, Windsor, Wis., Tim McCormack, Portland, Ore.; four
great-grandchildren, Dak, Caz, Jennifer and Clay; one sister, Dorothy and Dr.
Keith Foster, Mandan, N.D. Preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Loretta
and one brother, John and other nieces and nephews. Friends may call at
Resurrection Catholic Church, 333 Hilltop Dr., in Allouez on Wednesday,
December 22, 1999, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the mass. Mass of Christian
Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Paul Demuth, officiating. Entombment
will be at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. Cotter Funeral Home of De Pere,
920-336-8702 is assisting the family with the arrangements.
