I can not help with Gaskin(s) except for my gr-grandmother's family and there were only two children of that union, Mahala and Ellafair. Ella or Martha as she was called married a Charles Mooring. However, Nancy had been married to a Kirkland previously and had several children with him (5 or 6 I believe). I do not remember the name of Arthur. Also, my relatives are all white. If your relatives are Negro, then my lines would not be helpful to you. Good luck with your research, I know how frustrating it can be. Oh, I do recall (I haven't been doing much genealogy work for about 5-6 years) that on the 1900 or 1910 census, the Winn/Wynn records for Mahala & Willie did state that both sets of parents were from South Carolina. I never could make any connections there but you might be able to. If you run across anything for Mahala Gaskins or her sister, Martha or Ellafair/Ellafain, please let me know.
