Searching for info on my mother, Rosalie/Rosa Lee (last name unsure; might be Rose). Her grandmother was Mahalie/Mahala Rebecca Gaskin B. 1869 in Jefferson Cty FL.. Her parents were William Gaskin & Nancy Poppell. William Gaskin m. Nancy Poppell 1863 in Jefferson Cty FL.

The 1900 Pasco Cty census found Mahala and husband, William D Winn/Wynn m. 15 yrs and indicated that Mahala's parents were from SC.

So, in doing some cursory checking, I found Ezekeil Gaskin on the 1850 Williamsburg SC census having several children with the youngest being William who was 6 at the time. This would make him 19 in 1863 and of marriage age. So I am thinking that this is him. Ezekiel's wife's name was Rebecca.

Any connections? Do you know anything about Nancy Poppell or William Wynn/Winn - they both seem to elusive.
