I have been researching this for a few years now and so far, all I have been able to find is an excerpt from an old historical journal stating that Her ship ran aground somewhere in cape may and that "A hunter by the name of Garrison rescued her and eventually they were married"
It has been handed down through my family so I suspect it could be one of my Garrison Ancestors. Carrie Lee Garrison was my second great grandmother, daughter of Furman M Garrison (a civil war veteran who married into the Lee Family while he was in Virginia during the war)
My 3rd great grandfather Furman, was the son of Zacheus Garrison, (Zachariah)
I have not been able to Find out who my 5th Great Grandparents were on the Garrison side but I am still looking.
My 3rd Great Grandfather is resting in Vineland in a civil war Grave, about 100 feet or so from where My second Great Grandparents, (Eugene W Calkin and Carrie Lee ) are resting along with my 3rd great grand uncle James Lee. Son of my Fourth Great Grandpa James Lee of Prince William Virgina.
