Hi My grandmother was Mary Garbutt - and Ellen Garbutt would have been her auntie !

Ellen's mother was called Alice Garbutt and father was Edward Garbutt

Ellen married Thomas White in 1863 at St Catherine's church Wigan
they had the children you mentioned but Alice, the eldest wasn't married (I don't think) when she had John - I am not sure if Ellen was married to Thomas White when Alice was born in 1862 ????
