There are several lines of Galloways who spread in the 1800s thru MS/TX (less sure about TN). For example, Matthew Galloway (1759-1824) of Oglethorpe GA had many children and grandchildren who end up in Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, and Texas. Would love to know if your Galloway is connected to any of them. Some used Gallaway instead of Galloway for unknown reasons!
