My relationship comes through, Mary Altringer dau. of Cecelia Frinks and Johann Altringer:

Mary is I think my 2xgrandmother. I have an article given to my father at a Darkenwald family reunion. It states that Cecelia Frinks was b. Sept. 14, 1833 in Trier Germany. The article does not list the names of her parents. A bit of research establishes Trier to be the oldest city in Germany. Other possible related names are Aldringen, von Aldringer and Aldringer. The family lineage may go back to Austria.

After emigrating from Germany to Milwaukee Cecelia, lived there for 22 years until she married, John Altringer on March 8, 1859. They had 15 children. Ultimately they setteled in North Dakota. Anyone have any more information to add?
