I was just looking back in my records and have come up with a Charles Forbes who was the Brother to my Great, Great Grandmother, Calista Forbes (East Hartford). They were the children of Alfred Forbes (born 1804, East Hartford) who married Elsie Deming. Charles was 6 year's old in 1850. His other siblings were: Andrew (19), Calista (17), Ellen E. (15), Hiram (12), and Elizabeth (10). Alfred Forbes was the son of William Forbes who was born in the late 1700s. He married a Anna Porter. No doubt related to the Porters who own and operate the famous "Miss Porter" Finishing school for girls in Farmington, CT.
