I am looking for information on a Fogarty Family from Waterford Ireland.
Thomas Fogarty married Eleanor Barron in Kilmacow Kilkeeny Co.in 1812.
They moved across the river to Waterford city, Waterford Co.
They had the following Children.
David Fogarty 1813
James Fogarty 1814
Richard Fogarty 1817
Eleanor fogarty 1819
John Fogarty 1820 (Believed to died as Infant)
Mary Fogarty 1822
John Barron Fogarty 1826 (My GGGrandfather)
Frances Fogarty 1828
Ann Fogarty 1829
Joseph Fogarty 1831
Patrick Joseph Fogarty 1839
This family is believed to have left the Waterford area during the famine.
But I can not find out where. John B Fogarty showed up in Waco Texas in 1860.
I can not find how he got here from Ireland. Maybe through Canada or NY city?
He married Amanda Jackson Ward in 1861 and stayed in the area.
