The original flemings came from Flanders (of course), and emigrated to Scotland. They are a Clan sept of the Murrays. The first Flemings in Ireland came with Strongbow to Co. Meath. So, the Flemings are Scotch-Irish.

William was a cobbler.

The Buchanans are also Scottish.

William was born in Dublin.

Most of the records in Dublin were destroyed shortly after.
