Hello,

I have just returned from Eldora, Iowa doing research on my Emerson/Finlayson families.

I went through the library, court house and cemetery and found information and a grave stone for James C. Finlayson.

I know he had four children while they lived in Eldora, Iowa.
James died in Eldora, Iowa and his wife was left to care for the four children while she had lost her sight.

If there are any decendants of this James Finlayson family line can you please contact me?

Also if anyone can trace through a census for any information on him I would be so grateful:

James C. Finlayson of Hardin County, Eldora, Iowa
Dates for possible census: 1869 - 1889
(A story printed up in the Eldora Herald newspaper states that he would have died July 15, 1875 from cholera morbus).

Any information would be helpful.
