Hello,
The Fell's had lots of kids, about 25% of the Falklands can trace themselves back to the Fell's one way or another. Jean's sister Alison created a family tree back in the 1980's, with Natalie Smith. Then I found a list of ancestors in an old family photo album which pointed out that some of the children headed off to the USA, into Illinois. Ann and William Fell had a daughter Ann, born 16 March 1853 and married William Coutts on 3rd Dec 1874 they had 15 children.. Mary was their 12 child, bourn7th June 1890 and married Arthur Porter. They had 11 children. The story goes that the first two children were not Arthur's, but he raised them as his own. The first child that was to them both was my Granny, Elizabeth Porter, Born 13th July 1918. Elizabeth had one daughter, Norma, born on the 12th Dec 1941, (my mum). Mum's father is possibly the greatest kept secret in the Falklands. Granny kept it to herself into death. Norma married Roger Edwards from Brinkworth, Wiltshire on the 4th April 1970 and I was born on the 26th September 1971, in Portsmouth England and christened Emma Jane. My sister Rebecca Elizabeth was born on the 21st March 1975, also in Portmouth, England. As a family we moved back to the Falklands in 1983. Rebecca married Christopher Lee on the 30th December 2004, at Hill Cove in the Falkland Islands and their first child was born on the 20th June 2006 Jessica Elizabeth, Daniel Christopher on the 25th September 2008 and Oliver Roger on the 25th November 2010. I got married in Stanley to Mark Brook on the 7th January 2012 and that is us up to date. Hope that helps you in some way.
