Here are notes from my late Aunt Marie -
Bridget Farrell Cooney was born outside of Dublin, in County Cork (dob unknown); daughter of Michael and ?; one of 7 children (6 girls, 1 boy). One sister was Ellen, in New Haven, CT. (married name may have been CANTLIN?)
Patrick Cooney was born in County Longford, IR (dob unknown); "we celebrated a memorial Mass for him every year on August 15th"
Bridget & Patrick had 13 children - 8 lived to adulthood: Joseph, Nellie, Mary Ann, Catherine, Frances, Arthur, Therese, and John. (My grand-mother was Mary Ann).
1880 Brooklyn Census shows:
Patrick (father) - age 48
Bridget (mother) - age 32
ELLEN (daughter) - age 12 (evidently did not survive)
MICHAEL (son) - age 8 (also did not survive)
Mary (daughter) - age 5 (if this is Mary Ann, she lied about her age for the rest of her life!
Catherine (daughter) - age 4 (ditto!)
Arthur (son) - age 1
...so there were an additional 5 live births after 1880: Joseph, Nellie, Frances, Therese, and John. ("Walker" and "Armstrong" were married names of - I think - Frances "Fanny" and Therese "Tessie")
