In reading old records, I've noticed that some of the Fader name that came from NY to Ontario after the American Revolution were descendatns of one Lucas Vatter/Vetter/Fader. He was a loyalist during that war. The descendants often changed their last names.

My own ancestor, Peter Fetterly, UEL, had descendants that changed their last name to Fetterley, Fetter, Fedderly, Fedder. It is a a name related to Fader.
