I am on a quest to find more information on my g, g, g, grandfather and his parents.

His name was Mathew Emerson.

Born in England, March 16, 1803
(It is has been said that his Emerson family line came from London but this info has been handed down. It was also mentioned that he was disowned when he married Sarah Wiles)

Died: August 15, 1841 or 1842 in Dekalb, St. Lawrence County, New York.

He was married to Sarah (Wiles).

I do know Mathew and Sarah were married August 19, at St. Andrew’s Church in Bonby, England but no parents listed.

Our Emerson family line is well documented here stateside but I am running into a very stiff wall trying to reach back into England.
