John L. Eibl, 80,
a resident of Bradenton, Fla and formerly of Wales Road, Venango Township, Erie Co.,PA,
died on Thursday June 12, 2008 in Bradenton, Fla.
A resident of Erie most of his life,
he was born in Freising, Germany on June 28, 1927
a son of the late Hanns and Hermine Held Eibl.
John was a U.S. Marine Corp veteran of both WW II and Korea. He was a manager of apartment buildings for Lable Property Management Co. of Cleveland, Ohio last managing the Grandview Manor in Erie and retiring in 1991.
Previously, he was the supervisor of Traffic Management for over 30 years at Kaiser Aluminum in Erie.
John was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Erie
Survivors include his three sons, Carl Eibl and his wife Christa of Rock Hill, S.C.,
David Eibl and his wife Nancy of Erie,
and Steven Eibl of Ft. Pierce, Fla.;
three grandchildren,
two great grandchildren,
and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years,
Hazel Killian Eibl on September 6, 1998;
a son, Richard Eibl in 2003;
a sister Ingeborg McDonald. Friends
are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church on Tuesday morning August 5, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be private and at the family's convenience in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the Russell C. Schmidt &Son Funeral Home, 5000 Wattsburg Road, Erie.
