If you look closely at the record in my file you'll see that I do indeed show Elisabeth as having been born in France. The note indicates that at the time of her birth her father was already in Texas.

I am related to both Joseph and his wife over half a dozen different ways each. The closest relationship would be that Joseph was a second cousin of my gggg-grandmother Maria Anna Luttenbacher (1765-1840), wife of Blaise Golly. Their granddaughter Marie Agathe Golly (1838-1917) came to the US in 1881 with her husband and five children and settled in Canton, OH.
