Hi,

Here is an interesting bit,,,,,,,,,,I just had a 4th cousin DNA match with a woman whose ancestors are Patrick Egan and wife Eleanor Rooney who moved from Canada to Minnesota in 1800's. This Patrick Egan is a son of Thomas Egan and Mary Ann Welch of Wakefield, Quebec and Co. Mayo, Ireland.

Maybe my ideas that my gg-grandmother Julia Egan ( wife of Dennis Flynn) was also a daughter of Thomas Egan and Mary Ann Welch. Her church wedding entry in May 1850, St. Camillus, Wakefield Quebec, Canada had her parents as Thomas Egan and a very hard to read Sebina/Salina Welch/Walsh 'of this parish'. Witness brother James Egan.

So far I can't find any records for another Thomas Egan family. I also can't find the Thomas Egan and Mary Ann Welch family on rootsireland.ie pages for Co. Mayo.
