While doing some research I found the following website -

The following list of emigrants is taken from a notice that appeared in the Caernarvon and Denbigh Herald Newspaper in 1845.
Ship 'Republic' sailing from Liverpool to New York 12 July 1845, with 134 passengers on board.
The following is a list of emigrants on the ship that were from the Principality of Wales, most were from North Wales, the list only showed the name of the male head of the family.
