I found only two Magdelenas. One was my grandmother's sister but died only a few months old. The other was Maria Magdelena Ehnis who married an Eberle. The are no Hess or Hesse surnames listed for the town or St. Martin's church.
I suggest searching towns near to Joehlingen. George
