This may be sheer coincidence but I am descended from William Slaughter (1798-1855) who married Charlotte Dupree (c.1798-1869) in 1822 at St Pancras, London and immigrated to Geelong (Victoria) Australia in 1854. Just guessing there may be some connection between these families. Any help would be appreciated.
