I am looking for information regarding Michael DOUGHERTY, born circa 1834 (place unknown), died 30 June 1902 (Brooklyn, NY).

I am unaware of any family connection, but Michael died while living at a boarding house owned by my great grandmother's aunt, and was buried in a plot owned by my family in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn. An obituary is attached.

I theorize that Michael was either a boarder who had no family to care for his remains, or a relative of one of the female members of the family (whose maiden name would have been Dougherty), but I have been unable to make the connection.
