In searching for the Ancestry of my father, I have come to a block with my GGGrandfather, John Dingler b. 1793 (supposedly in Berks Co. PA (no records)) d. 1872 Jersey Shore, PA. Married Martha Coryell, Oct. 25, 1820 in Berks Co. PA, (no records). They had the following children: John C. Dingler b.abt1823, Sarah b. 1824, Joseph b. 1824, Tunison b. 15 Apr 1826, Josheph R. b. 21 Feb,1836, Charlotte, & George.

In my search for data, all the names in the Subject line except Coryell have been mentioned in reference to the name Dingler. My appeal to the families with the Subject names is: Do you have any information in your files that will provide me with the Ancestry of my GGGF, John Dingler?

DNA results indicate a link to Johannes Dingler b.1758-1760, the Hessian Soldier prominent in the "Dinglers of the South". Correspondance with members of line indicacte the tie-in may be back in Germany. Stories handed down by my parents suggest that there was a Hessien Soldier in our family, but I have not researched any information from data that indicates that there were other Dinglers in the Hessien Army that was in the Revelotionary war.

To the Coryell families, especially Earstern PA, & New Jersey, do any of your files have any indication to the marriage of John Dingler & Martha Coryell that has any links to his ancestry?

Hope you can help me.

Thanks,

David Dingler
