In my research for my Dingler Ancestors, I too have come across the "Tingler" spelling of the Dingler name. Other variations include Dangler and Dengler.

Frankly, my search has pretty much come to a halt at the point of John Dingler & Martha Coryell. The record keeping of that time in history is very sketchy and there is no record in Berks Co. PA of the birth or marriage of John Dingler. I have no knowledge of any link to the Tingler family name in my family history. I have a couple of leads to others with the Dingler name some of whom were members of the hessian soldiers that fought in the revolutionary war.

My DNA tests has indicated over 5000 possible cousins ranging from 3rd to 8th or more. I will do a search of the listing to see if any with the "Tingler" name show up and inform you if there is any indication.
