This is a non-profit organization dedicated to digitizing and preserving the parish records on the islands of Ischia and Procida. The project began in 2003 and continues still today. The organization has a database where you can search for your ancestors and order copies of their baptisms, marriages, and burials recorded by the parish priest over the centuries. Luckily, the remaining records of the commune of Barano have already been added to this database. For Barano these records stretch all the way from 1600-1917.

I have recently discovered that my 7th Great Grandmother was Rosalina Taliercio of Lacco Ameno, Ischia. Research shows that the Taliercio's of Lacco originally came from Barano as well.
