I have done a little "digging", and I think the Jesse David Detty you mentioned is in my family of Dettys. Jesse D. Detty (actually he would be a junior) was born 28 April 1889 in Missouri. His parents were Jesse David (Uncle Dave) Detty and Mary Gedney Detty. Jesse(II) was married to Maude and had two children: Clifford and LaVerne. Jesse and Maude were divorced in 1920, and Jesse remarried and had another child. Jesse D. Detty (II) was my great-grandfather's first cousin.
