Classification: Query
Surnames: de la Cerda, Gardner
My de la Cerda ancestors lived in northen LA and southern TX. The Gardners are very spread out. They still have Gardners in Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. I never knew that Nepomuceno de la Cerda had Indian in him. I thought he was full Spainish. I guess since he lived in Texas he would probably have Comanche or Kiowa or maybe Choctaw. I was told that my ancestor before Nepomuceno was a Spanish Conquistador on de Soto's expedition in the 1500s, he was from Toledo, Spain. I would not know the conquistador's first name though. I found most of my info from family and papers with the entire family on it. They had a document with my conquistador ancestor 's name on it, but it got lost I never saw it but my aunt did and she forgot his name.
