I have copied a short phrase from what I sent earlier. It says: (Although Daniel may, or may not, have been included in the group of Scots to which Cotton refers, the letter serves to describe his circumstances in New England.)
Could this hold bearing that perhaps Daniel was from New England rather then Scotland? I have read and seen several quotations from other genealogist suggesting New England.

I have talked with several in the Wolfville area of NovaScotia also that believe he is Scotish.

I too have been searching for about 10 years on this Daniel Davison as it's my wife's many times grandfather by like 12X.
