I am researching my fiance's family and am currently stuck with his great grandfather, David Emrys Davies.

David was a famous cricketer and cricket umpire who played for Glamorgan and umpired at Lords. His nickname was 'The Rock' and he went by his middle name, Emrys. He was born on 27th June 1904 in Llanelli, Carmarthenshire, Wales and died on 10th November 1975 in Llanelli. He married Annie Gertrude Moodie in 1927 in Llanelli and they had only one child, Peter Maitland Davies (b.1931 Llanelli).

David had a brother, Gywnfor Davies (b.12th Aug 1908 Llanelli - d.10th March 1972 Llanelli), who I believe married Winifre Flowers in 1927 in Llanelli.

Does anyone have anymore information on this family?
