I'm trying to fit these Flemings and James in, too.
I have a letter written Nov.1, 1846 from John Davidson who have gone to Tremont, Tazwell County, Ill. He is evidently establishing a farm and describes digging a well. Some names mentioned in it are:
Moses R. Meeker
Nancy 'I want you to keep me in your heart till I come to see you'
Brother William and Sister Mary Ann
It seems like he could be the brother of my 4g grandmother, Nancy Davidson by age and child of Fleming and Margaret, and referring to sister Mary Ann and Brother William...
I also put a couple of other posts on this board today.
Got any ideas?
