A lot of info, but good stuff.
The info I found was a google on Daniel a while back. A lot of the "research" I did kept referring a town called Over-Tabley and this website references that
http://1066daniel.tripod.com/It's interesting, I did the DNA test and came back with a massive amount of Scandinavian DNA...which is really weird as Daniel is a very English name. My mom's side is English as well with some Irish thrown in...but the DNA only reflected Scandinavian. It would appear that the Daniel name originated in Normandy, France with the Danes who settled there and brought it to England in 1066. All of my research indicates that my family tree in England originates in the Cheshire/Yorkshire area.
I know my first Daniel in America was James Daniel he emigrated to America sometime in the early 1700s with his wife Ann Harrison and settled in Virginia. He was Roger's grandson. My research indicates Anglican as opposed to Puritan. The Daniel's in Virginia had slaves and that was a no-no for Puritans. Richard Duley Daniel moved west to Indiana in the early 1800s and that's where my family comes in.
I really think there was a mistake in the Daniel Roger/Roger Daniel input. Could be on purpose.
