I am looking for information about my g-g-grandfather Peter Dean Deane Dane. According to census records, his date of birth changed every 10 years, but my best guess is the August 1840 is about right. He was born in Ireland and immigrated in 1865 to Luzerne County, Pennsylvania. The 1870 census gives his name as DEANE, 1880 as DEAN, and 1900 as DANE which is the spelling my mother's branch of the family uses today. Peter married Ellen McDermott about 1865 and had five children: Anthony, John, Peter, Thomas, and Micheal. There is another (possibly related?) Dean/Dane family in Luzerne County with children having the same names and almost the same ages but I think I have the right ones.

Any help with determining Peter's ancestry will be greatly appreciated.
