Hi, Cousin! Susie's my wife, and I'm Earle Cummings. I wondered if I'd ever find descendants of the Cummings relatives in Indiana. My branch was descended from David Cummings, a younger brother of Sarah (Sallie) Cummings Sutherland White (known as Granny White, for the cemetery in Leesville, Lawrence County) who was in LaGrange County Indiana with a couple of his brothers, Major and William Cummings in the 1840 census, but he returned to Branch County MI, just across the border by 1850. His son William Major Cummings, my ggfather came to California in 1853, and we're still here.
