My wife is a Craven. Her great grandfather, Martin Craven, born about 1857, came to the US about 1880. I can find no records of Martin's crossing or in Ireland, though I know he was Irish. I thought that the name might have been changed from Creaven. Do you know of any such changes in the family name? There are many English Cravens, and the US is full of their descendants, but I know little of Irish Cravens.
